Dr. Ilyas has recently joined the Temple staff as an Orthopaedic Surgeon and Hand Surgeon. He is a native of the Lehigh Valley and earned his M.D. degree from the MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Wilkes University with Summa cum laude distinction. After completing his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery from the Temple University Hospital, he completed a prestigious fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital as a Fellow of the Harvard Medical School in Hand, Upper Extremity, & Microvascular Surgery under the tutelage of Drs Jesse Jupiter, David Ring, and Sang-Gil Lee.

Dr. Ilyas’ practice focuses on surgery of the Hand & Upper Extremity as well as general Orthopaedic Trauma. He has assumed a leadership role in the newly organized Temple Hand Center as well as the Residency Director for the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at Temple University.
