Bruce Vanett, MD
Assistant Professor
Dr. Bruce Vanett is a graduate of the 5 year accelerated Penn State-Jefferson BS/MD Program. He completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Pittsburgh and spent the majority of his career in private practice. He joined Temple’s faculty in 2003 and practices as a general orthopedic surgeon with special interests in joint reconstruction and trauma. He served as President of the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society and was instrumental in the liability reform effort.
Dr. Vanett is a strong residents’ advocate and he takes pride in overseeing them in the orthopaedic clinics and in guiding them through the current socioeconomic issues of medicine today. He keeps the needs of the residents in the forefront and was instrumental in starting the Mentoring Program at Temple.
